Based on my understanding correct me if I'm wrong.. I believe this card will support 6 GPU's..appears to have enough pci-e slots..

Yes, that will work with 7 GPUs if you follow the correct steps. Their is a thread titles MSI Z170 Gaming M5 in this subforum that has instructions to get it working with 5,6,or7 GPUs.

I see 2 different boards linked, the OP linked an ASrock Z97, which I do believe will run 6 GPUs.
