If a bitcoin exchange site takes USD bank wires, what information do I need from the exchange site? And, do I need to do anything from the exchange site's end?

For example, I have a EU bank. So I convert the EU into USD in my EU bank, and how do I proceed from there?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

why not make your life a lot easier and faster and do SEPA transfers to kraken or bitstamp? kraken's EUR volume is as big as some of the USD exchanges. it should deposit same day or the next one.

the sites themselves will give you the instruction you need.
