Are you taking the bid from someone with 13 posts seriously? Could be it is your alt account maybe, a friend or something along those lines?

I don't have any alt accounts in this forum and would never rally my own auction that way. It's up to the bidder if he sends the BTC or not, I just take the second best bid in case the winning big is a joke bid. Joke bidder will be added to a public list so they can't continue messing around too long.

For the record, I'm probably more skeptical than you at this point, having been scammed out of an unmentionable amount of LTC for FTC -- because of my "newness", I've ended up sending first.

Especially since this auction is public, and OP appears to be pretty active here, I'd assume it relies on the winning bid accepting and sending first anyways.

OP: If you make a public list for BTB scams, please make it as visible as possible. See my note here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=182424.msg2009544#msg2009544

Let's go OP, at least ask if there are any more bids so we can get onto the next one.

I think the fact that according to the 'release document' that came out like 3 hours ago: 'reward of 1 BTB per 10 minutes and quickly dropping'
you must have been mining 90% of all the bitbars since the minute it went public. Cause it wasn't pre-mined right?

That is not a proof. Anyone can pick some address out there and claim BTC on it are their own, LOL.

Correct, he should use his private key to sign a message. That would be proof enough Smiley
