Seriously, I hear they were able to mine millions in the first day.

Today it hit BTC-e and it was quite a show...

It depends on how you define rich. If they keep printing FRNs at breakneck pace, those FTCs might end up being worth a few hundred apiece. Of course, a loaf of bread may cost you $100 at that point too.

Who knows with any of this cyber cash. It may end up being worthwhile and it may end up being like the tech stock bubble of the 1990s. All we can do is watch and see...and maybe buy, sell, trade a little to make a little profit in the process.

As a miner, I can't say I didn't like making a few bucks off of it. Though, now that it's on btc-e, I really don't see the hype lasting much longer.

I'm hoping to mine a few FTC and make some profit if it goes anywhere... Only downside is it has no real world applications yet and that will hurt it if that doesn't change soon.

My miners have been farming FTC since they came out. Very happy about FTC. Strong support for it.

I've been mining FTC since the first few hours it was announced (BTC/LTC for 6 months). So far I am very impressed with the amount of people jumping on FTC, and the speed that exchanges picked it up. BTCe should do great things for this coin.
Only time will tell if it hangs around and becomes a long-term coin to support BTC/LTC. It does seem however, that most miners are just in it for the quick money.
