Hello,

I want to start mining, and have some questions, any response would be greatly appreciated.
I saw many videos and read many articles about mining, but technically i have a lot of questions, mainly about mining gear.
Thing is.. my technical knowledge is on its low, so responding on the post, please consider that, and if you are giving me examples, please give me a link of a hardware.

Now i have around 1500$ and want to build up a whole device. as far as i know, i have to buy:
1. precessor with 16 cores
2. motherboard that can hold up to 6 graphic cards
3. 8-16GB graphic cards - 2X
4. 16GB ram (on every graphic card)
5. power supply.

Please correct me if i am wrong, if not, please tell me which hardware should i buy (processor, motherboard, graphic cards etc.), how much does it approx. cost, or a link on amazon?

Also i know there are websites that pay you for your hash, for example nicehash, is it profitable to mine on nicehash? or is it better to mine? do you mine 1 crypto currency or several at one time?

thank you in advance

Wrong section but....you only need a dual core CPU,4gigs RAM,80gig hdd or bigger(if you keep wallets on it) & AMD 470/480 4gig/8gig or 570/580 4gig/8gig vid cards.....

Brand name powersupply is a must.....

You can get Nvidia cards but they cost more..........

You can get mobo with 1 or 2 16x PCIE slots & most come with 2-4 1x PCIE slots,so you get 4-6 cards on em.

You will need risers for the 1x PCIE slots,I recommend this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/332076189157?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

https://forum.ethereum.org/categories/mining/p1

I mine eth for now & will pick another altcoin when goes POS or becomes unprofitable.

80 GB are not enough. Get at least 320 GB if you want to try different mining software (for different coins ie).
Nvidia cost more and are (for most coins) slower than AMD GPUs, although they use less power ...

and once again:

Quick and dirty:

gamer case with 4 (in total) 120mm intake (!) fans
650 - 850W gold powersupply, maybe EVGA 750 GQ
ASRock B150M / B250M motherboard (take care of the space between the 2 PCI-E x16!)
2 x 4 GB DDr4
G4400 / G4600 CPU
any 120GB SSD for the OS, maybe USB-Stick with Linux
2 x GTX-1080Ti

... (no mess around with risers and so) should ROI fast !

  Grin

P.S. why does any noob expects part list 4 nothing - please give a donation !

... please make an educated guess !

With 1500 USD the best mining setup in my view is as follows:

Motherboard Biostar TB250 BTC PRO--- 130 USD
Processor G4400 dual core LGA1151---- 55 USD
RAM any good 8GB brand name --------- 55 USD
SSD any good 120 GB brand name------- 60 USD
PSU for 2 cards is enough a brand name of 600watts platinum or gold plus efficiency--- 80 USD (if you use up to 4 cards 850 watt gold plus)
GPU-s RX 470/570 or cheap NVIDIA GTX 1060 (for mining zec mainly) 2x250 USD----500 USD

You see I let you money to spare on a third card or even a forth one based on your budget.

Edit: I forgot the risers so search ebay with this "USB-3-0-PCI-E-Express-1x-To-16x-Extender-Riser-Card-Adapter-Power-Cable-Mining" and buy 5 of them for about 30 USD so you are stocked up even when you add new cards. That motherboard supports max 6 GPU.

Even 40gig is enough....I use em & they work fine mining ANY coin. You just can't keep wallets on em........  Roll Eyes

I said 80gig cause most folks will buy new hdds & they are the most to choose from,I get mine free, used scrap so its no problem to me  Wink

Most wallets are 30gig each, some are only 5gig,some are 60gig,depends on the coin,so you will need much bigger drive if you store wallets........
