My guess is that the bitcoin price in a year from my post will be approximately $6071. Let's see how it turns out.

For 2018 it's not something unrealistic. Some experts predict that this could even happen this year.

According to the current market I can say that Bitcoin can face another Crush the chances of this is probably low. if Bitcoin Rises it will be around $3,500 . I see people are assuming that and will cross $5,000 soon or maybe $10,000 and so on which is pretty technically correct but we still don't know about the future.

I am very optimistic but thats my fault, but generally I have been really good at predicting bitcoin swings since mid 2013.

Nothing is for sure of course and predictions are just that, predictions.

For now I would say, buy some coins at halve or whole at the following retracements: $1700, $1200.

In the meantime, look at Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple to accumulate cheap.

Being realistic I believe to see BTC pricing in one year about $3400-$3700, most probable $3500. Considering until end of 2017 BTC will be pricing $3000 that is my prediction for the date OP mentioned. Very possible to happen and increasing averagely without big events and news that could affect BTC price a lot.

It is hard to predict bitcoin price in a month, how much more in a year. I will speculate anyway. Bitcoin was doubling its price ever since I joined this forum. So I believe it will double its price again next  year. That means it is 4-5K range, maybe more if scaling problem is resolved within the period.

Define what realistic is?I have always been wondering when people say-predict the realistic price of this or that-first of alll,the predictions are something mostly based on the viewpoing ot every person and you shouldn't thinks in terms of what can be achieved in terms of a price or not-BTC can go 3 times it's price easily but where it can go to-that's another good question.I don't think most of the people know the answer to it

No one knows the exact price of bitcoins but if you see the current trend of bitcoins, one can easily say that bitcoin will be near or cross 5000$ by end of this year. Bitcoin price will continue to rise and we can see very high growth of bitcoins if we do not hear any bad news related to bitcoins. If things went smooth, believe me we shall see record price of bitcoins this year.

It is really hard to predict the price of bitcoin in about a year's time. Last year, its hard to predict that we are going to almost touch $3000 price. But for the sake of fun, I will just say that it can probably touch $6000 next year. I hope that I can get it right this time so that we are all going to be happy in about a year.

I can see more than double in value in May 29, 2018  currently price is around 2270+, so I am thinking that price will be around $5540.  I believe that price will continue to rise since smart contract will give bitcoin a boost, packaged with Australia and Russia's bitcoin acceptance.  These news will give bitcoin a big boost in price.

Well a lot thing can happen in a year, but considering some more countries will legalize bitcoin i believe its possible to achieve 4000 dollars into one year if more countries does legalize bitcoin, if the same countries remains, well i would say 3000 dollars.

Bitcoin is unpredictable, so one cannot perfectly define the value of bitcoin in a year with big calculations. We can make approximations based on the things happening with bitcoin. Can assure that the price tends to grow as the bitcoin adoption all around is increasing. So in a years time it could go high as $50000 or might fall below $100.

At current trends we can expect a doubling in the next year so just under 5k$, there is of course the possibility of big pumps and dumps making bubbles and crashes but I think the highs and lows will center around 5k$ in a years time

Threads like this is useless, because Bitcoin adoption is still very small and the smallest event will have a impact on the price. You have seen what happened to the price, when exchanges gets hacked and how political decisions influence the price.

Who would have said a year ago that we would have seen $2700+ per bitcoin in 2017? One thing about Bitcoin is true, it is not predictable in any way. ^smile^

you must define what kind of prediciton do you want to have, a prediction for a stable value or just predicting the possible the peak

possible peak might be very high in one year, this will be more true if segwit is activated, assuming that the adoption will grow at the same rate as now, another 2x is expected in another year

we went 2x from 500-600 to 1200, we went again 2x now from 1200 to 2400, therefore i can expect a $4800 for the next peak

Personally I believe that bitcoin is going to go around $3500 in a year's time. Around your estimate but slightly lower. I just feel like that there is a lot of positive energy around cryptos at the moment and it's not going to stop any time soon. We might see a lot of panic and dumps before we see another slow bull market though. We might. We'll see what happens and it'll be interesting to dig up this thread in a year's time and see who's right

I want to say $3000 but then again we may see a huge dump as a result of some countries banning or not supporting bitcoin(such as China). Already their exchanges are cracking down on everything because the central banks demand them to do so and i wouldn't be surprised that chinese won't even be able to trade on p2p platforms like localbitcoins sometime in the future.

But it won't be lower than $2000, that'l all i know.

$3000 this year very likely. $5000 is a possibility. Waiting for the SegWit thing to be over before making my final decision. I stick with 3000 for now.
