I don't know where is going $70-$80's maybe but what was more interesting to me
is that I think gold & BTC "popped" @ around the same time.

Yes, I agree that we are facing significant crash. USD is really in a bubble now. It will fall back to $266 per 1 bitcoin and then will steadily continue going down.

I think we'll see it go below $70 this weekend, then it'll start rising again. Complete guess tho.

Is there a prize if I get this right?

Is the drop from manipulation or panic selling?

I'm new to Bitcoin but not to trading.

the bitcoin charts look like 99% of the previous bubble charts in all manner of commodities (actually, futures contracts) and stock markets.  The recent bubble is an old repeating record to my eyes.

Currently bitcoin is in a short term down trend (bear market)

yes, a lower high around the 90 or so mark would confirm bears have settled in

I think the BTC rise is over, it can't sustain a high like $266 again. I got in around 90 but now im just looking when to get out, maybe wait till it rises past $100 again. There's always a bull market somewhere, but not here.  Undecided

I think it will drop to 50$ or lower. Just my gut feeling.

I agree. If the ball gets rolling downhill I think past history shows panic selling will set in and the price will fall, hard. If anyone is taking a beating and lost some $USD since the fall, check us out at MiningUnited.com and earn back some of that BitCoin value!  Smiley

Looking at the market depth chart, there seem to be many more buy orders than sell orders.  I'm not a technical analyst, but the trend (for the next 10 minutes anyway) seems to be back up.

$50's easy. 500000 share block was sold earlier today. mt gox had to step in and become a buyer. otherwise it would have been another freefall.

yea i would say it is $50 by end of next week

plus all the other alt coins that don't take forever to transfer between exchanges

So much uncertainty with everything surrounding bitcoin its a tough call. Seems like there are alot of predictions of it going lower, I say we go up from here.

I agree. I think the correction due to recent events is over. If nothing critical happens bitcoin goes up.

those caring about the longevity of bitcoin should not worry about the high prices. but look at the monthly low prices

i read somewhere else that someone already looked into this and found

February low was $20
March low was $33
April low was $51
and May low so far is $79

which shows an uptrend on the base rate. the highs are pure speculation and will ramp up and down where ever they want but as long as the lows show a natural rise where people get to a point that they wont sell any lower then a certain level then this is good for the long term life of bitcoin.
