Sorry to hear that.
Have they said what the damage is? I can think of many things such as blown internal traces, lifted pad, etc.
Again, this is why Bitmain Warranty (and Bitmain factory service) need to provide a report that says more than 'Fixed" or "Unrepairable"...

no they just told me it cannot fix
so i paid 300$ for 8 hours of hashing with 4.6TH

Ouch! I just sent a board in to Denver and waiting to hear back. I think mine is repairable as it would hash great for a while then start to show xxx's and then stop. No high HW or heat issues from what I could see, just got tired of restarting the miner every couple hours.

Update on my repair. Got it back Friday and it is working great. The cost was $200 and they said it had a bad asic chip.

I just sent one of my R4s to Denver yesterday. Hopefully its fixable.

I asked about the myrig details, but nothing from them yet. I am sure they (Ashli) will let me know about that.

So right now, its wait a few days for them to receive it, and go from there.

I am still waiting on an update from Denver.

They received it last Monday and so far, after replying to an email from me, all they have done is to confirm the receipt of the unit.

I guess I should hear something from them soon??

Meanwhile, I have missed out payments for 28 blocks in my pool so far for this machine......

Well, they just got my $200. (hopefully money well spent)

The "repairs" are done ($175 +$25 return shipping) - just got the tracking number.

Can't wait to return to (hopefully) 100% hashing.

I'll let you know how it performs once I get it back.

So a question on how to setup a repair with Bitmain Warranty. I created an account and opened a ticket requesting a repair on my R4 but I have not received a response and it has been over a week now. Is there an email address to contact them and should I try via that method?

The unit is still under the 180 day warranty, but I understand that this will most likely be a paid repair. If a warranty repair is an option then I only have two more weeks before 180 days is up.

Currently running on a single board at half the hash rate.

Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Well with just one week of running now that same hash board just started acting back up. Very disappointed

As I understand it, Bitmain Warranty is not affiliated with Bitmain. My options are to ship to China for approx. $300 and a two month wait to have the unit repaired under warranty (or be told it cannot be repaired and argue the point), or send to Colorado for a  2 to 3 week turn around and repair at my expense. $25 shipping each way, and $125 to $200 for repair. Comes up less out of pocket and faster back into service.

Not really happy with that as options, but I knew this prior to purchase and I made the decision to purchase anyway. I cannot fault Bitmain for my decision to purchase their product knowing the the warranty they offer is null and void (to me).

Thanks!

My issues is they want $600 to repair one of the blades on an r4. And its STILL in Warranty. And its ONLY caught on fire after I did the Ant-bleed update. Literally the next morning it was on fire.

Your best option might be to continue discussions with Bitmain China.

My R4 is under warranty as well, but the cheaper and faster option for me is a paid repair through Bitmain Warranty. If I am not mistaken, they are changing their name to reduce confusion in the future.

I received my R4 back from Bitmain Warranty (Colorado) yesterday. So far, after only about 15 hours, all is good.

It is hashing at 100%. They definitely changed out the affected board with another one, I am guessing with a refurbished one, but this obviously just a guess.

The only difference I see, is the fan speed is being displayed under fan # 6 (instead of #3) and so far, very few HW errors.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this performance continues.

China tells me since the Power connectors caught on fire, they will not honor the warranty now.  Mind you, this machine ran for 4 months fine with no issues, prior to the ant bleed update. I ran the update, and POOF no boot, no hash from it. I immediately emailed bitmain. And told me in the email the warranty was good until June 22. Now they claim that the act of their equipment catching on fire voids warranty, even tho I used it completely as they intended, with a sufficient PSU and all 6 6pins plugged in.

I wonder how car warranty works in China?

Its been a week since I put my repaired R4 back online.

So far, its running fine. I am concerned/confused as to why the replaced board has a GH/S (RT) that is TRIPLE of its rating - see below. The temps are just a few degrees higher than the original board.

Should I be concerned?

Well with just one week of running now that same hash board just started acting back up. Very disappointed
Well after 3 weeks and another $150 the board is on its way back to me. If I don't have any better luck with this repair I may look at a charge back either with PayPal or my CC company.

Considering no one has even gotten any from the new batches much less ran them for any length of time how are we supposed to know??? Probably is same reliability of the earlier ones: Over all acceptable but still a crap-shoot.
