Just started mining DigiByte at a pool, and when i check top 15 hashrates for the pool, some of them are crazyhigh! I know i got a shitty GPU, but how do they do it? The pool is using a GPU-algo.. The one on the top has almost 400x my hashrate. Has he invested shitloads of money into GPU-rigs?  Image; http://imgur.com/a/x120B |

Yes, he will. Especially if he is mining a good coin with future ahead – the current price of DGB is around 700-800Satoshis, Multiply this by his DGB coins mined a day, and you get around 0.2BTC a day, of course, this is not stable, but if the price of DGB rises, he will get what he invested.

If he has that large of a mining farm to put that amount of hashrate then, I would presume that he has made the investment previously and is now with the high profitability; put it back online.
And if he has had thing large of a farm I would say more then likely he has already broke even or made a bit on top of it already.
And this will continue for quite some time if the BTC remains high enough!

And if someone with extreme hashing power mining a coin, then I assume he strongly believes that that mined coins will be more profitable at a later date, unless he is selling mined coins same day.

Maybe he is using his old Sha-256 GPUs. But still for me this is really high rate for hashing  . I wonder what is his power usage per hour ?! And does he uses any backup energy... |

He's mining in a pool where you use Groestl-algo, shouldnt be profitable mining with a ASIC? |
