I got a Mastercard credit card from https://wirexapp.com/
last month I was at supermarket buying things and when I tried to pay 88$ usd, wirex failed 2 times so I paid order in cash, than when I arrived my home, I checked wirex balance and I was debited 88 usd 2 times, after that I mailed wirex support they said my money would be refunded in maximum 45 days, but this money never come back to me!
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

i also was stolen from wirex, I transfered 0.047481BTC to my wirex wallet, i transfered to the wrong card.... i exchanged money back to bitcoin and then back to the new card.. TRANSFER FAILED!!

I tried to withdraw the bitcoin from my wallet, transfer failed also...

0.042848BTC is only whats left, but FAILED to withdrawed.

Now my wallet is empty and the  0.042848 disapeard...

is small money but is very annoying to see such scam sites being so popular.

For me everything went well with basically every transaction whether on the virtual or physical card whenever I use their service. They are a company with a lot of reputation. And it's really odd that their customer support is taking so long to respond. For me the max I've waited is just under 2 days for a ticket to be answered I think.

Just wait a few more days, if there is still no response then try PMing them on the forum and comment on their thread to get more attention.

It's really ISN'T odd that their custumer support take so long.

Few months ago, i had the same problem, FAILED transfer, money disapeard, few hundred dollars, after 5 days i come on this forum to complain of the scam...

The support guy from here made a request to support team to process my ticket faster... which they did, got my money few days after...

But really, how the hell do they have so good reputation when they are unable to provide support Huh Every time I had problem, it always take 1 week+

Considering the volatility of the bitcoin, 1 week can mean 50% more or less money, it is very very annoying.

I would never recommend wirex to no one, and if they was a business selling a product, with so shit custumer service they would most likely close down.

With all the huge fees they are charging i do not understand they cannot have a support that actually respond to ticket fast.

never get any problem with wirexapp.
but when you try to pay with a card and even some payments are issued/refused you can see in a receipt.
otherwise the problem is not from wirex but from the fraudolent seller!

It's not 75%, as far as i know their're charging 7$ every transaction,
So that's why you only have 3$,
It's in bitcoin right ? If yes,it's because trx fee.
You can choose another company , such as advcash and etc.
The worst thing in e-coin/wirex isnt their fee but their responses.
So beware and good luck

Apparently they are starting to show the user where the portions of fees actually go to which is a step in the right direction in my opinion. So I do give them credit for having some sort of transparency to their fees and charges, however it's still outrageous.

Akym, have you received a response yet from the support team, or no?

If not, then yeah. Switch to another anonymous bitcoin debit card. Right now they have lowered their limits drastically to 250 USD per person per account at a time, or you get suspended.

Move away from wirex. I switched from wirex to bitwala because of their ridicolous fees, shitty support, and so many problems with using their services. They are the moat horrible company i have ever had to deal with.

Bitwala is trying to tax me right now for 10€, 8€, 9€, 11€, 15€  for me to top up my card with 100€ or transfer money to my account.
The fee depends on the minute I press ok then cancel then ok..
And the value they pay for each bitcoin is very bellow of the market.
108€ on market value is about 98€ then pay you. Then you pay the fee...

In total is about 25€ lost in a 100€ transfer. And since they are not responding to my message I already lost 25€ more since the bitcoin dropped.

I contacted bitwala about 4 times in less then a month to solve problems with the app , account, card  and transfer money.

I think you are talking of wirex, never had problem like that with bitwala before. I paid 102€ for 100€ balance on the card. Bitwala is a very honest company, meanwhile wirex is just bunch of leeches nowadays.

I thought that also. But I'm a bit disappointed on them.
Check this screenshots.

The UTXO is 2.45€ before the transaction
http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4375/36382405330_7618705339_b.jpg

And then the UTXO is 18.5€ on the same transaction confirmation.
http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4351/36640348341_f81c753d19_b.jpg

They just answered saying it has two UTXO transaction:

Quote
So you always have 2 UTXO fees one that covers the necessary UTXO fees that allows us to process your payment and one to pay the UTXO fees to send your funds to us. We (and our competitors) don't have any influence when it comes to these fees.

They do have influence when they chose the satoshi/byte.
