Fear is a natural emotion, and can even be constructive. But when you surrender to it and make it the guiding principle of your life, terrible things happen.
Fear was useful when we were the weakest species on the planet. When there were things in the dark that could kill us and eat us. Now, we control the lightning, the fire. We have nothing to fear on this planet. Fear is of no use to a civilized race.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing......Only I will remain.
The presence of fear is a good thing, but only if accompanied by the guidance of wisdom.
