PayVericoin all over again

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling."  Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009          Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.

If all this news is true, why is the market not collapsing? I think it's just FUD, even though I sold just to be safe.

Because this scam is very expert system for drawing your money. Fake contracts on the turing complete machine are not the future of cryptocurrency. It's insane!

You don't sounds genuine at all. You're either a BTC maximalist or ex-ETH pumper who switchdd to shortselling.

If they find another major bug in Ethereum, then the DAO failure will be like to compare bullet with Tsar bomba. Bitcoin will lose probably 300% of its value... not to mention altcoins and all these project based on Ethereum.

Did you mean to say Bitcoin will probably lose 30% of its value?

yeyy why so much fud about Ethereum  Roll Eyes, the problem was with the Basic Attention Token ICo on Ethereum where the guys paid thousands of dollars so their transactions could go first in the blockchain causing a temporary Backlog in the network, nothing to worry about. The ICO was sold in only 3 blocks, 24 million dollars! More info here https://twitter.com/ShapeShift_io/status/869962815389487105
 and here -> https://www.facebook.com/notes/shapeshiftio/note-on-ethereum-backlog-wednesday-may-31/1307471442663616/

If any huge ICO happens again the problem can repeat, but it is temporary...by the way ETH network is much more healthier than BTC one if you compare the unconfirmed transactions.

No, I meant 300. As far as I remember when DAO failure happened market cap of digital currencies was like $11-$12 Billion and it dropped with probably $3-$4 Billion in the following week. Bitcoin lost about $100 of its value (which was major impact, giving the price back then). Now things can be much more worse...

Exactly. This is just not true. I know that ethereum has got recently accepted as payment on some markets in darkweb. There were lots of people saying eth is pump and dump coin when it cost around $20 but now there aren't many people who still say eth is wothless, scam and so on, since the price and capitalization are too big to be called 'scam'. Otherwise we have to admit that scam (which is something unreal, false) is actually the truest reality of our time.

Lose 300 percent? That would place bitcoin in negative territory. -$4370 at current price.

I feel like things are different than a year ago when the DAO incident happened.
If there was some big flaw in ETH or any of the top 10 coins, people would lose confidence and we might see some pullback,
but money would just flow in other directions.

Things would be bad for a couple months maybe and then everything would be back to normal.

Hello Dollface. Please tell us, which major bug that threatened the ecosystem was ever found ? DDos attacks were just few misspriced codes which were trivial to fix. DAO was just poorly coded. Blaming the platform is like blaming the internet for the viruses you get from p0rn sites.

Why don't you come over here and tell me Dollface in front of me? You probably got rich with your ETH baby and can afford buying a plane ticket to the Czech Republic (as I'm here right now)? And, btw, I'm downloading my porn from safe places and it's virus-free.

If a poorly coded DAO forced a split in the entire system what makes you think that we wont be seeing any sort of similar things in the future, nothing can be coded fool proof, you are bound to find exploits even at a later stage ,it is not like blaming the internet for the viruses, you wont upgrade the entire network infrastructure because of a virus, instead you strengthen your protection.
