What is the Tezos value prop?
It gonna sell out in 10 seconds?
no cap with tezos might oversell during ico time will tell, as for bounty i have not seen any bounty for tezos.
No cap, but still there are bonuses for buying the first XXX blocks in diminished fashion. 0-399 is 20%, 400-799 is 15%, something like this. So in the first block each 5000 tezees bought yield another 1000, second block 750, etc.
So, all TZX wont sell out all at ounce, but be sure that you wont be able to buy anything with bonuses, what will make the value-for-the-money even bigger to the whales, increasing even more the dilution of the small investors.
They will offer this to people in Switzerland outside the internet crowdsale, and all on this combined is very disheartening. There is some lack of information about how the transparency of these sales will be kept on track.
If only big venture capitalists, and inside people, get some good amount of the total of coins, I doubt very much that the regular joe will put money on this to make this currency circulate in the economy, an essential part of the success of any currency. Sad because the mentor of this project seems to know what he is doing and the idea is good, if really successfully implemented in near future. For instance, Tim Draper might have, say, 99% of coins, but he is just one vote. if there are 9999 different people holding the remaining 1% of coins, his vote will be only 0,1% representative. So no need to wait for miners' decisions to know wth is going to happen with the coin, people themselves will discuss, and chances are they will be conservative regarding changes, but not so dumb as to rule out clear improvements to the assets they hold.
What they could do is trying to implement a
limit of total of coins per set of bonus block, so that more people have the opportunity to buy with bigger bonuses. In this way, the venture capitalists would need to wait for zero bonuses blocks to make their big move. The ''no cap'' is not necessarily bad, a sell with cap would surely exclude small investors, they don't want this.
