hi guys,

im a totally noob to linux, but i've read somewhere that nvidia cards mine about 3% faster on linux, and the miner is running more stable. can someone recommend me a linux distribution which is easy to use for a linux noob and food for nvidia zec mining.

Most mining software is aimed at Ubuntu and it's close varients like Xubuntu.

 LINUX in my decades of experience with it is almost always a LOT more stable than Windows.

Just go with Ubuntu, install 378 drivers, no need to install Cuda for ZEC mining.
I have not noticed higher hashrates, but at least you will set yourself free from Windows.

Use nvOC distro, you can find information on this forum. It's ubuntu based very simple to use and you can mine multiple algos using it.
