some questions..

Hello,

I am new to the whole bitcoin thing and I have a few questions. I have downloaded the program from bitcoin.org. So I have my wallet adress and the program runs correctly on my pc. (I am using windown vista, and have a normal cpu)
Now I went to mining.bitcoin.cz and tried to follow the instructions. I made an account and downloaded a miner: jgarzik's miner for cpu's. I downloaded it, and ran the "minerd" document. But a window popped up saying it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? And how can I start mining?

the window means: minerd.exe doesn't work anymore

I think i am missing somethings... Do I have to install something else first? Does my pc not meet the requirements?

oke, dat heb ik gedaan en het werkt ja! moet ik nu "slush pool"  selecteren? Of "andere",  en dan "http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332 " zoals op de site van mining.bitcoin.cz staat bij stap 3? En als ik vervolgens op start mining klik, moet ik gwn wachten?
