i really don't think so!!
a lot of ICOes are asking for ethereum..
an a lot of people are buying ethereum to partecipate to icoes...
this is fuel for ETH...

Eth has been surging, the value of ether could surpass that of bitcoin by the end of 2018.There are no obvious reasons for the continuing rally, instead, the price action has seemingly been driven by renewed interest from speculative buyers this past weeks.

Ethereum is not going to see any unusual corrections or drops any time soon. The price is going up and this trend will continue.
There are so many new projects based on ethereum blockchain, so many news and hype around it, so many speculators and newbies pouring money in it these days, there is the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and all the banks and businesses in it, there are Vitalik and his billionaire father and etc.
Doesn't matter if you like this technology or not, doesn't matter if you use it or not, the price will go in only one direction in the short-middle future (IMO).
Till then stick with the master plan.

Ethereum may go to the moon one day, but for now ETH against the USD is topping around the 260 level. Once the slow rise is over (and it may end very soon), look for downside action. Time for consolidation is due. First support at 223.

Though we have to understand that Bitcoin is Bitcoin and Ethereum is Ethereum and comparing the two is a great injustice to them. They have different use and different goals.
Do you think Ethereum can at least reached the $500 level before the 2017 ends?

The biggest problem with Ethereum is the big difference as you mentioned and the possibility to reach $500 is possible if the price of bitcoin rises to newer levels and breach new levels and in comparison the price of ETH and other alt coins will also rise,will it rise in proportion to bitcoin,i really doubt that.

I think ETH will go to $500 to $1000 by the end of 2017.
