i think every developer of each coins will concern about this and i am sure that they will thinking this too. the ideas that we tells them is good for them so they can update the wallet to work properly with every modern computers. so far, what i've found in many multi wallet, they are seem often to make an update for the wallet so i think our worries can be reduce.
