Ive been in the game about a year and a half now! Although it is seeming more difficult to get coins as of recently with the amount of anonymous exchanges being shut down!

and thats the problem if you want to have fiat or want to use fiat then anonymity will not work with exchanges. if you want to remain anonymous, localbitcoins is your closest bet |

I heard about them a long time ago. But I never read much into them until I read about the crash from $260. Now I'm mining alternate cryptocurrencies.. I have also been lurking on this board for about two weeks now, I might as well start posting!
