We've decided that returning it will get us nothing. Opening it might get us mining. So we opened it.
It contains a card that greatly resembles the one in this posting,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=560034.0 and
http://youtu.be/vr281yTrCVY. The card was poorly mounted in a generic case. Included was a power supply, CPU water cooler and a RaspberryPi. The Pi won't boot. It gives a "HashFast" splash screen. I can't read the file system off of the SD on my MacBook.
I've pulled the components out and mounted them on a scrap piece of plywood. I've built a minimal CentOS virtual machine and compiled the latest CGMiner on with with HashFast support.
Tomorrow we'll try it out.
