Yeah I read that figure about 12-15 hour ago. I'm guessing it must have gone up quite a bit since it's the first day...

The client has a param that tells you - send getinfo() via RPC

[moneysupply] => 2524.442583 is the current value.

There's no need to estimate, the client will tell you exactly with "getinfo" command.

So an educated guess is that roughly 2.000 of those are in the pockets of early GPU cluster miners waiting to dump them. Gotcha!
