I'll try to explain our vision. Our main business it's a marketplace https://steamtrade.net - it's a white company and we pay all taxes from all activities on it.

Skins gambling - it's a huge real industry which grows very fast. There are a lot of popular sites with huge loyal audience and we propose the best way not to violate Steam agreements by changing payment method to SKINCOIN. We going to launch SkinExchanger when everybody can change his skins to SKINCOINS and back this August 2017. Also we will impement SKINCOINS as payment method on own and partner projects. Most part of this crowdfunds will be using for development, marketing and strategic partnership with popular sites in this industry. When we'll integrate SKINCOIN for most part of popular sites as payment method it will change this ecosystem very fast.

Why not solve the problem by creating a framework for transacting BTC/ETH instead of creating a coin?

Operation with game skins will be only on exchanger, so there is no steam TOS vialation, and no reason to ban bots.
We are making projercts with game skins more then 2 years, we have a lot of expertise and our projects have already more then $10 million turnover for the past year.

Honestly, the eSports  are very popular today and many Game companies have made profits by selling skins or points.However, as a Counter-Strike and Dota2 fan, I care much about the Teamwork or personal skill during the games, rather then the skins. So, i don't think there will be large market in these games for competition. BTW, the FirstBlood.io has proven to be a successful project since it focus on the competition between players in my opinion.

Not many, just few marketplaces use bitcoin for deposits. Bitcoin is not convinient for gambling and betting industry, cause there is a large gap for transaction confirmation. Most part of users want to make trade/bet as soon as possible. SKINCOINS will solve this problem.
We have few popular projects in this area, so intagration of SKINCOIN as payment method will start easily.

Thanks for your comment, to be honest Firstblood with their matchmaking model between players is not so popular and profitable as skins gamble market. We already have the same project as matchmaking (like Firstblood) but it's really not so interesting as skins market

All stores like that offering skins for credits were shut down due to local laws and regulations, etc and the community lost interest.

Incorrect. We have Opskins, bitskins and such sites to sell skins for fiat. Valve has not banned them, only the big sites related to gambling. Some do still exist however, and there is really no way valve can regulate this, expect putting some limitations for trading for example. If there was like a requirement for trading, it would get so much easier to close the skin gambling market, or at least limit it.
