I'm having a problem with a double spent transaction so i can't use the accelerator to speed this up. does anyone know when these typically get thrown back to the original wallet?

I am not sure, but usually, a transaction expires after 14 days (the default of Bitcoin Core 0.14). The thing I am wondering is: why did you double spend with low fees?!

Complete accident!

Electrum was set on Mbtc by default so when i re did the transaction i had the same outcome as before..

I guess i'll just have to wait it out and keep checking.

I think you can use the accelerator. I couldn't find your double spend in any block explorers, which means it's probably badly propagated.  The accelerator probably can't see the double spend either.

If you want me to try using the accelerator let me know.

I'll try on the hour. The demand for it is so high that the 100 free slots allowed each hour are gone a few seconds after the hour. If I get lucky and get a free slot I'll let you know in about an hour.

that's perfect thank you!

I'm guessing if it does work then I'll need to do the same for the the additional transaction i made to either get the funds to the intended destination or back in my wallet.

thanks again.

Sorry, I tried to get a free slot on the hour but failed. I'll try again on the next hour.

Aren't either of these addresses from the transaction ID you posted your intended destination?

If your intended destination is elsewhere and you paid a very low fee you might have to use the accelerator again.

edit

I successfully accelerated your transaction. Viabtc will confirm it in the next block it mines. It hasn't mined one since 15:33 so hopefully it should mine another soon.

edit2

ViaBTC confirmed your transaction in block number 469306.

ViaBTC is a good choice for free of charge, but incase you wanted a much faster solution, I'm having a paid option for you.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1934749

If you went through my thread you'll notice the average time of TX being confirmed with me is much faster, check out the block who included those TX,
if you check out the hash rate distribution or block being mined, you'll find that there's a higher chance the next block will be one of our partnered pool.

If you're not in hurry, you can wait for ViaBtc, just sharing another option tho.
