When I open my BitPay wallet, my camera comes on, then goes off.  Anybody else noticing that too?  What are they doing, spying?  Also, if bitcoin forks, does anybody know how BitPay will deal with that....I mean, with the Bitpay card integration it seems replay attacks are inevitable....right?  Should I be syncing up my core wallet and moving everything there just in case?

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

since it is open source (https://github.com/bitpay) i doubt it. besides you don't get anything from camera while private keys are there. but it never hurts to compile the wallet from the source code instead of downloading and installing the already compiled one.

and my guess would be there might be bug in the wallet code or your device that turns the camera on when starting since the wallet probably uses it for scanning QR codes.

not sure about your second question though. you need to see what they say on their website.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Issues like this are some of the simplest to handle and does not even needs creation of a thread for it. Even if they are spying, they will never admit that they do. Aside that there are several online and offline wallets to use in the crypto-world in that if one starts misbehaving and I no longer trust the service they are offering, I move to another wallet. As simple as that. Also, it is worthy to note that some application would require location access in other to function effectively which is something one would have accepted to as terms and conditions before using the app.

Ham-fisted social engineering. My microwave is watching you.  Angry

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

At this time and age expect that every website/service/software/app can spy on you. Do you think that anyone would admit publicly that they are doing that?
I bet everyone have seen picture of Mark Zuckerberg with his laptop. He deliberately taped camera and microphone in his laptop.
