A guy equipped with a  "baby armalite" fires at Worlds Resort Manila, He may be equipped by a rifle but he did not fired to people there making it a conclusion that ISIS is not responsible for these attack. A lot of carpets burned, alot of people died because of suffocation and many wounded. Stole $2.3M worth of chips but commits suicide afterwards, many was killed and wounded, I think these deaths was senseless.

Prayers for those who died. One of my friend witnessed that and by looking at her while telling me the story, she is really frightened and traumatized. It's only few miles away from my workplace.

There are lots of questions revolving around the incident, is it destabilization? terrorism? or just a person who have a grudge to the casino that maybe got loss in the past? I will follow the story.

A lot died and they think that these is a senseless death, no criminals caught alive, nothing was achieved by the robbery and the suspect commit suicide. It is not a terrorism because the suspect did not fire at the people, and yeah, the possibility is that man has lost in these casino because there are some big bettors who might've been familiar with the man.

ISIS claimed this, just now (RSS just bilpped). Trump actually got this one right, and I will comment that ISIS is putting up fucking MCDonald's numbsrs this year. I had a feeling about this, that the police were wrong. If I came to resort to rob chips, you wouldn't know. You don't strongarm a casino, coming out with kills immediately is not the way you rob something like this. And not by oneself, you would need a team for something like this.

God preserve these people and their families. More tragedy, its getting worse people. Its not just this, the terrorism. We are sliding down, across the board. Maybe Im not old enough, but Ive never seen anything like this.

The security at these place is not that tight as it looks like, many people know that with even a lot of securities, they can still go in many ways. And based on the reports of the police, the gunman is alone and no one is with him the time he did the robbery, that is why, I am being dissapointed on how the security did not catch the loneman.

Sad that it has to happen.  The gunman maybe was so depressed that he do not know what to do after he lost his wealth because of gambling.  It so sad to know that even if he was depressed he do not point a gun to anyone and shot them.  Isis should not be linked here or any terrorist group.  It was purely done by a depressed addicted mind.

So many questions and so little that the authorities are answering. M4s are usually only for police and soldiers. He went in there in camouflage, did he already have the gun with him or did he grab it from someone there? (Unlikely that security personnel have it.)

The body was found with a gunshot wound on the head, did he kill himself or did someone else shot at him while he was burning himself?

ISIS can claim lone wolf attacks if they want to and there'll be hard to find out if they really had contact with the dead attacker. Authorities are dismissing any links, the the timing is quite suspect, considering the government is currently fighting of terrorists down south.

This. You know I have been in RW Manila many many times back in my height of my addiction to gambling. I told you I was a silver member of this club. And security in there was pretty tight. From the moment you enter, dog sniffing, bomb-squad, 2 camera's before you can enter the parking space. So I don't know how this madmen was able to enter the premises without security noticing something is not right. So for God's sake, I don't what the security was doing to prevent this tragedy. I blame it all on the security, for fucking this one. RW Manila was put into a bad light and the Philippines for the matter. And I'm so sorry for those who have lost their lives. RW Manila has already losing their customers because of COD (City of Dreams) and Solaire casino and now this incident might added another 25% lost of customers. Too bad for them.

I have just noticed that the ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. But the identity of the attacker is not known as of now, and the cops are denying that Islamists are behind the attacks.

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/06/02/asia/manila-philippines-resort-world-isis/index.html

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the ISIS was indeed behind the attack. Even previously, they have specifically targeted facilities which are popular with the tourists. The attack on Reina nightclub in Istanbul is a perfect example.

To be fair to the police, they'll be having a hard time identifying the charred remains. I'm surprised they haven't really released the CCTV footage yet. Or at least, I haven't seen it in the news.

I'm agreeing with your assessment that thisight be a ploy to extenuate your state of martial law.

No reason why they should downplay ISIS links, it wouldn't reflect poorly on your government (I can't think of any policy  recently implemented that one could attribute this too).  I'm amazed that casino security couldn't take out a lone gunman. Over here, the Italian Mob still has its finger in the casino industry, this guy would have died poorly, and quickly. I think I heard that a lot of women died in a bathroom from smoke inhalation. That's beyond the pale of odd, that means they were barricaded in. Panicked females are a force of nature. No way in hell they stayed put while they died; they were prevented from leaving.

Why would he do this? Doesn't seem like a robbery, but doesn't seem quite like a terrorist attack. Something is off with this one.

And if he could get his hands on an M4, his knowledge of situational awareness is beyond mine. No soldier of fortune, or opportunist with experience, would have taken this job.

I recently read something here about ISIS making inroads into the Philippines and being able to hit the country at its capital shows ISIS growing influence in the region. Duertete should  make sure that ISIS dont gain more grounds in his country, since he is acting all tough, he should make sure he beat them.

To be on the safe side I've reduced my rather critical posts on social media. I don't know how to go delete all of those I made in the past though.  Grin

Again, I'm waiting for CCTV shots from various locations in the casino. As you said, it is possible someone prevented them from going outside. Although I suppose people would hide in panic at the same situation, like those guests in the hotel attacked in Mumbai. This time though, there seem to be no one was there to knock on every door.

Sigh, they're taking some time to release details and everyone's on edge here.

From what is happening here in the Philippines, I think the number of people who wants to go here or even take a vacation here especially foreigners will drastically go down. There is a fight far south at Marawi with the Maute Group and there is these incident. I think not only the securities, but the people at the casino panicked and no one can even notify the other people in the casino that these is happening, resulting to many people getting suffocated and dying. Let's just hope these will be the last one, these is really terrible.

I think so too, but the question is, why did he do these, why would he go to Worlds Resorts Manila with a gun, he stole chips but he didn't use it and just commit suicide, it's making no sense. And just so you know, the gunman burned many parts of the casino, with the smoke and the fire, they can't use the camera because it didn't caught anything.

Islamic terrorism is affecting every nook and corner of the world. No one is safe from this terror. Non-Muslims need to unite against this common enemy. It doesn't matter whether you are a Christian, or a Hindu, or a Buddhist. If we don't unite, then this catastrophe will destroy all of us.

Praying for those who died. That gunman is not yet known but confirmed as not a Filipino. The media said that this guy is in high with alcohol. Many of the people in second floor had a stampede. And this person burned the whole second floor and many of the people died because of sufocation.

These will be a lesson to all kind of public buildings and also for Filipinos, including me. Security's job is to secure an area, to surpress these kinds of incidents to happen, but from what happened yesterday, they didn't do that.

Praying for those who died. That gunman is not yet known but confirmed as not a Filipino. The media said that this guy is in high with alcohol. Many of the people in second floor had a stampede. And this person burned the whole second floor and many of the people died because of sufocation.

The news and reports did not include the guy being drunk, they just had a conclusion based on some witnesses that the guy suffer from Mental disorder.

Philippines now experineced many destroyer. I hope as soon as possible all bad people and terorist die because many innocent people die because of them. I see the news that the resort world manila have many killed people. I hope philippines will go backa again into the peace country. I dont know why those people are still killing people . What did they get if they do this? Dont have.

There are new updates saying that the terrorist confirmed the attack, we still don't know the truth, but all we know is these guy did not shoot people, did not take any hostages, stole some chips and commits suicide.
