Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Thankfully you were paid back.

I wouldn't recommend anyone else to use BetOpen still because it has been demonstrated that they basically neglected this case until their ICO is around. If there was no ICO they probably wouldn't have paid anything back.

As Darkstar suggested, i think that signing a message that is holding at least say, 50BTC of user funds is necessary. Otherwise they are essentially running a ponzi scheme, aka your depsoit is paying others withdrawals.

Bad idea. If this was a scam, then after the ICO the scammers have their money and have no incentive to pay back anyone. @sedna, open a scam accusation just like OP has done, so you can get your money back (hopefully).

I was seriously considering investing in the ICO but wanted to do a little checking up before pulling the trigger. I too saw the paid ICO news post and it sounded really good, on paper. Hearing that people are having no issue depositing and betting but can't get their money out without delays and public posts has turned me away for sure. It may not be a scam, but could simply be gross incompetence. Neither is a good sign for investing.

I don't think 50 BTC is nearly enough, since they have pretty high limits. Exposing a large percentage of your bankroll per single bet at max stake is a horrible idea. I'm pretty sure they allow 1 BTC bets @ 4, so I'd expect them to have at least 200 BTC.

I think he meant it kinda like a a joke, since he said that he doesn't think they have the BTC to pay him. Given their dumb excuses for not paying earlier, that is most likely true.

taking a break - expect delayed responses
