Actually I hope dropbox dies a slow death because of MEGA, which already accepts bitcoins.

I voted again.

I do have a 48 gig coupon (good for 2 years) if anyone wants to buy it from me (payable in bitcoin). I will have to activate it on either a new account, or you give me a temporary password to your account. I promise not to look at whatever is in there, because I don't care and can't be bothered.

Mine already has 60 + from another coupon and from referrals.

Keep voting guys, I've done it 3 times so far.

They've dropped the voting system now, all requests are on the forums. You should add a comment here:
https://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=100353&page=2

Someone should really reddit about this so it gets more attention like the original votes did Smiley

That's a shame they dropped it. Oh well, I guess they don't really want to know what their users want.

Check out Bittorrent Sync, an open-source replacement for Dropbox.

http://labs.bittorrent.com/experiments/sync.html

I personally will move my data to this service rather than continuing to pay Dropbox for ignoring my needs.

Also, I don't want US Govt to access my files.

Perhaps instead just choosing different service, you should email them that taking down the voting upset you and that's the reason why they've lost you as customer.

The guy who decided to take down the voting will probably get some heat for that decision and they might reconsider.
