$10,000+ To Invest

$10000 is something a big value to make an investment. In my view I would suggest to go for a diversified investment into few of the coins similarly ETH, NEM, Ripple and waves. You could sell it periodically and get at least a small profit, because these alts have been growing with good market volume.

10000$ is not that big of an amount... If you'd earn 10% per year, which would be quite a nice ROI, you would still earn only $1000/year... Not that big of an amount ey?

The price of ETH is not good to invest at this point and the price of litecoin is always disappointing as everyone expect the price to touch an all time high when the price started gaining momentum when the announcement of a segwit activation started and it has gone down considerably after the activation and i think the price stays in this position for a long time,it is good to look out for good ICO to invest your money than to invest in ETH or litecoin.

Don't go all-in for only one coin. ICOs are high risk investments so invest <2% of capital for ICOs. On your place, I will hold 30% in Bitcoins, 40% Ethereum and 10% in ZCash. Remaining 20% use for ICOs. This is called portfolio diversification. Accept your losses and don't invest more than you can afford to lose. But remember Ethereum by itself isn't a coin. It's platform which allows you to build coins. But it is still smart to invest.

At this point, i think its better to just stock up on btcs. I mean trading is still good but with he consistency of btc's movement, ut would probably be more profitable if you just hold on to bitcoin for a while and watch your earnings soar in a few weeks or months

I think this is a too easy way of thinking about things. More specifically, if this would be true this would mean every whale (big investors) would pump their money into btc, which is not happening.

I do however agree that BTC has built the foundation for cryptocurrency and as such is the most stable coin out there. Hence, it has the least risk of completely failing and a good chance it will keep on growing.
For the other altcoins, investing advice is like trading stocks: make sure you have a diversified portfolio, know what you are doing (check the technology, the whitepaper, the developers, the trading volume etc) and take your time to choose wisely. Too many coins have turned out to fail despite big funding or great ideas. You need to have the combination of many elements in order for the coin to become a success.

As stated before, when you want to invest 10 000$, make sure to take your time, learn and then decide on how to invest.

Many coins are already overpriced nowadays. I advise you to think twice before investing. Try to check new projects with known team, such as waves

this way of thinking is not new. it has existed for as long as altcoins have been around and each year there are many people (including me at some point) thinking if some altcoin goes up to bitcoin levels it is a lot of profit if i get in now.
but what happens each time is that we invest and then meet their doom eventually and we lose money each time.

Now if ETH does the same like bitcoin,

ETH is nothing like bitcoin. it is not even a currency. it is a platform for smart contracts that has a token which is being traded.
and it can never grow as big as bitcoin with all the bugs that it has. each month seems to be a new scam done with ethereum!

well say you buy 50 of them.  Well if it goes up to $1000, then it would be $50,000.  My thinking is well if the price is low, you cannot lose much because the most you can lose is what you put in. 

you have two very big ifs which makes your way of thinking very dangerous:
1. if price goes up
2. price is low now

both are wrong. price is very high right now, and it actually is much higher than it should be meaning a big bubble.
and the first if has a low chance of happening although it is still possible to see more pumps.

yes because bitcoin has some real world applications and it is THE ONLY cryptocurrency that exists and everyone knows about. nobody even hears about altcoins!
and there are no big fluctuations. there was one 2 big rises this year which both of them followed by a perfectly anticipated correction and it is now back on track of rising.

you are making things way too complicated and long!
just diversify. invest in bitcoin as your primary investment and if you think ETH will go up then just invest in it. don't over think it. but do it only if you think it will go up not just some one else said so.

Litecoin and Eth can never be like bitcoin, because bitcoin is the original one, the mother of all altcoins, reason why altcoins in crypto world appeared and bitcoin is the highest price value in terms of digital currency.

Hey guys im soon going to get around 10k in coins.  I already have some bitcoin already.


So this 10k would be nonbitcoin.  Im also most likely going to swap some bitcoin into these coins as well.  Does anyone know what percentage of bitcoin should you convert into other coins?  Example say you have 15k in bitcoin.  Is it worth swapping 5k of it for other coins?  I basically want to get 10k in other coins so its either spend 10k with my bank account or swap say 3k or 5k worth of btc for these coins and another 5k cash.  Im willing to spend up to 10k of my all money.

Also what about ripple or dash or waves?  Ripple is so cheap right now at 0.28 that well you could buy 5000 of them for around $1500.  Does anyone see a future with ripple?  Now if that 5000 ripple each turns into 100 dollars, well that would be 500k.  If it turns into 1000, thats 5 million dollars.


Also any opinion on mobilego and byteball?  Someone here mentioned these but byteball is really expensive.  Mobilego is pretty cheap at 2 dollars or so.


But it seems like after bitcoin, is ETH the 2nd best?  Then its litecoin?  What about waves?  I dont know why but i feel there is something about waves that might be good etc.

Or is that just ridiculous with waves.  Because this would be about 750 waves or so approximately.  But is it even worth getting 3k in ETH when its already 300+ dollars each?  Because you would have at most 10 ETH.  With litecoin, it would be a bit less than 100.  


So it seems investing in a coin when a coin is very high price and you dont have that much money is not a good idea right?  I mean if a coin cost 300 and you only have 1000 to invest, that seems like a horrible idea because you only getting to have 3 coins.  But if its coins that are say 2 dollars each, well you going to have 500 of them.
