ltc was about $2.17 when i started watching it, sitting at $3.13 now.. I have faith but wish it would explode lol, although it gives me time to try and get more!  |

My guess is about six weeks from now. Not much to base that guess on, other than Mt.Gox's new trading engine should be going live in about a month. Shortly thereafter, when they get the kinks worked out, would be a great time to start trading LTC.

Hope they manage to clear all that up and become trusted again.

Gox is a joke, at present velocity into the ground they won't be around much longer after Homeland is done with them for not following trade rules, as well as the other lawsuit against them for $75 mill. The bunch of sweaty amateurs running this thing have no idea what they are doing.

The way things are going for MTGox, its more likely that Litecoin is going to be better off elsewhere!  There has been a lot of interesting movements with exchanges over the past few weeks, and if MTGox don't do something soon, they are going to just lose their privileged place in the bitcoin universe. +1 Currently Mt.Gox is a market leader. Market leader should develop the market. If it doesn't, someone else will and they'll lose their leading position. Basic principles of marketing. |

Here is a tip, check out Bter.com - that is where the next growth is going to be, the Chinese market, and they not only support LTC, but FTC, FRC and PPC - the world keeps moving!
Bter is just a crypto to crypto exchange aren't they? as far as i understand there is no way to get pocket cash in or out... you have to use another exchange to do that part, i may be wrong but that is what i have noticed as for LTC on gox I think it will be a very good and a very bad thing... when it hits gox the price will go up a bunch ($5-$6/ltc) but as soon as it does the LTC market will crash as since they announced it every LTC miner has been holding there stock.... there is going to be such a MASSIVE DUMP it will make the $259BTC crash look like Peanuts... I predict 3 months for it to recover back to $4 after the crash, but then we will see the the price climb. the thing is we will never see the 1/4btc price until both have reached the end of there new coin creation I do not agree at all, most miners i know dump the lot as soon as they mine it, most of them are burning cash for power, hw, ect... sure there will be a dump at MtGox but it will not cresh when talking to any of the miners at btc-e most of them say they are selling for power cost and holding the rest many of them are holding 2000LTC or more just waiting for gox i myself am holding 500LTC If that's true we might actually see a price DROP if LTC ends up on gox. I don't think there are a bunch of people sitting around going "oh boy oh boy I sure am gonna buy me some LTC as soon as it goes on gox!". They're just buying it now on btc-e. |

The whole bitcoin, litecoin crypto coin is a scam a zero-sum game. That's a pretty pessimistic outlook. You don't think there's possibly a value inherent in a platform that doesn't require a trusted entity to perform very fast transactions with very low fees, that is agnostic to borders and national currencies? The altcoin game is zero-sum though, I agree. Perhaps not Litecoin - we shall see - but everything else, yes. |
