Does anyone have experience around mining in a MacBook Pro? I have problems with using rpcminer

Getting the following error message and need some help troubleshooting. Any help will be much appreciated.

Could not retrieve work from RPC server.
CURL return value = 52

(I've tried tech Support and Newbies section to no avail)
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

dont do it, you will get a really poor hashrate in combination with overheating problems. in my opinion its not worth killing your macbook for some bucks in coins....

the easiest way is with my MacMiner app (if you're running 10.Cool:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166347.0

but as pro said, with a slim design like the MBP you are taking a risk and if you're going to mine it's worth setting options to make it run slightly slower to put less stress on the machine e.g. -f 60 for poclbm or -I -10 for bfgminer and always run smcfancontrol with the fans maxed out.

MacMiner - The first, best and easiest to use native Mac coin mining app: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197110.0
