Alright, I scanned with virus total, windows defender and malwarebytes and the wallet seems clean, reporting 0 viruses.

I am more interested to see the development plan instead of becoming part of a quick buck making coin. Till now it is fine with explained information but roadmap and where it will be used is much more important to know. If there will really be any use case for anything it will automatically gain volume and value because of the feature. I will keep watching for further details and updates.

Yes. There are 2 versions of our Windows wallet, one with CPU mining and one without. That said, you don't have to use the built-in CPU mining in the wallet, you can use something like CPUminer instead.

Dev is last active June 11, 2017.  The lack of a good wallet make me suspicious this is kind of an insider's game, like the techies in the know can benefit but it makes it harder to use.  Why encrypt a wallet and then not have an option to unencrypt it for staking and mining?  I'm still learning, maybe this is done in the console?  Another good idea for a coin taken up by insincere devs?
