@streetuff

Cool idea.

happy hashing  Smiley
But be careful! they get hot during operation!
I recommend cooling. Direct some airflow over the heat sink.

Its because of the flood in germany...

On the DHL Express Page is a blog about it. I guess that DHL & DHL Express uses most depots for both services - so DHL will suffer of the same situation: http://www.dhl.de/de/express/info-center/dhl-express-news.html

Hello,

last night (when working on my setup - integrating an UPS) I used this Sempre USB 2.0 7 Port HUB
http://www.amazon.de/Sempre-Aktiv-Hub-7-Port-Desktop-Netzteil/dp/B004IA0864
to serve 4 USB ASICs. The power supply was rated for 2000mA.
I had the HUB working fine with 3 USB ASICs in the past.

With 4 of them Win8 and bfgminer reports every 3-5 minutes "problems" and re-inits the devices.
Looks like the PS does not provide enough power.

So be aware when you try to max out any HUB. OK, the HUB is a really cheap one.

Good news!

I already received (30 minutes ago) my 2 new USB ASIC Miners, but at the DHL site, they still are in Germany...  Grin

Thanks for all help and support, yxt.

I have one already working with cgminer in my Windows 7 64 bits laptop and I'm trying now to put a fresh copy of RPI wheezy raspbian in a SD, to try to install cgminer and start mining with the other Gizmo. The only little problem is the lack of Linux knowledge...

Any link to a help post? I think I already saw something in this one...

Das DHL tracking ging im wahrsten Sinne von 0 auf 100 ^^ aber es ist alles heil angekommen, ganz ohne Wasserschäden.

Just did a search as I am right now dependng on a spare computer with windows 7 and cgminer crashes all the time.. bgminer crashed occasionally .. mh.
My 10 port hubs are oviously not well enough powered to run more than 4 of these cute asics. Hope this changes by wiring them to the psu at home. When I will be back at home in about two weeks ;( .

Any link to a help post? I think I already saw something in this one...
