But I have a problem with those USB / COM drivers...
See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220450.msg2321308#msg2321308In short: - install the zadig driver
- reboot windows
- install the cp210x VCP driver
Very important: when you download the CP120x driver from silabs, you get two exe files: ...x64.exe (for 64-bit windows) and ...x86.exe (for 32-bit windows)

Those "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COMx)" Are just not working for my both PCs It's impossible that nobody had this problem yet the (!) sign means that there is something wrong with the drivers...

It was that! I was trying to run the ASIC USB on a long cable - maybe the power was too weak

Good morning World!
I smell fresh coffee and USB Gizmos... I'm feeling lucky...
Regarding CumpsD offer, if the offer is extended to me and as I'm so bad in Linux, I would love to get he's RPI image, as one of my 3 RPI's is also a v2 512 MBytes.
A bit late, but here it is: http://cumps.be/btc/My raspberry pi Image. It's based on standard raspbian wheeze, using cgminer 3.1.1 compiled from github It uses the hardware watchdog from the Pi to keep cgminer running. cgminer itself runs in a screen, so you can connect to it over SSH from wherever to have a look, and detach again. I have not upgraded it to cgminer 3.2.0 yet, since there were quite a bit of problems with 3.2.0 and I didn't have time to look at 3.2.1 which was just released. What does this mean: no hotplug functions! So you have to connect your sticks *BEFORE* booting the Raspberry PI Other than that, when it's booted, it just works and you never have to touch it again :p I've written all the needed instructions on http://cumps.be/btc/ Enjoy!

I'm mining with 3 units and I'm getting 2% HW after 2 days. I'm only using a small usb fan for cooling with a room temperature of 23º C. Do you guys think it's because of the temperature? Regards, btctr4d3r

No, temerature should only affect the lifetime Have you ever tested another usb hub? Or even plug one directly into the computer

These chips are fun but they won't last, really poor heat design.
My HW is slowly creeping up, 0,85%... I give it one month.
0.85% = HW:96 / A:11323 is that the right calculation (bfgminer)?

They are all connected to a PC. After one day I had close to 4% HW but as of now I have 1,95% HW... strange.

I actually think the out-of-the-box heatsink makes it worse, we'll see in the "long" run.
It is not increasing the surface, I told friedcat; his reply was: "It' won't trap the heat since the surface between aluminum and air is still more effective in transferring heat than the surface between the non-metal PCB backside and air. Especially when there are any airflow."
Maybe he's right, but I like silence.
What this needs is a proper top mounted heatsink, like an inverse pyramid from the BE 100 chip!

Tests with higher diffuculty show many HW errors (~20%):
(5s):164.1M (avg):363.5Mh/s | A:318 R:0 HW:66 U:0.3/m WU:4.7/m
This is at diff 16
