Thank you for your help!

If that PSU has only 2 cables for GPUs then it probably can't handle much more.

High capacity PSUS tend to have enough cables.

The 1200W PSU you linked has 4 PCI-E connectors. Some PSU's like EVGA G2 and P2 come with a second 6+2 pigtail connector on some of the PCI-E cables son you can connect to another PCI-E power with the same cable. You can also use Y spitter adapters and the sata ports for PCI-E power with an adapter. No matter which connector type you use, it's important to never use more than two VGA connections per cable, with three the cable will start to get warm and with four you WILL fry the PSU, the cable or both.

It should come with 8 x PCI-E 6 + 2-pin cables as per the bottom of this page: http://www.thermaltake.com/This/Toughpower_Series_/Toughpower_Grand/C_00001718/Toughpower_Grand_1200W/Design.htm

okay ignore all answers this is correct. answer.

it has four cables for pcie.  each has 2 plugs at the end giving you 8 plugs but only 4 cables.

Sooo  you can do 6 cards but it won't be easy  I would never buy this psu for a six card rig.

this is the best answer.

Next I have a question for you  what gpus will you use.  and do you insist on build a six card system when it is pretty sure you don't know what you are doing?

here is a better psu

 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438062&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=evga_1000_watt-_-17-438-062-_-Product

it has 5 gpu cables each has two  8 pin connectors and will work great with up to five cards.

my advice is start with a 3 card four card or five card build with this board

if the problems are the cables, you can just buy more of them from the same vendors, beaware to buy the same calbe, and not something else, if the psu have no more gpu slot, then you need to buy another one

yeah mine is under 140 usd will do at least one more then his at 220

I have owned over 125 psus including both of these.

the 140 one from newegg is what he should do and build a five card build with this board.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128975

he is new  a five card build on this board is pretty easy .  and it can expand to six later
