Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Someone should approach this professor at stanford  or ask if one of his students might be interested.

They should be interested in the fact cryptography is the basis for a new currency.

Sure we do. I have a sneaking suspicion that if we just wait the issue will resolve itself.

In the meantime we can do something constructive such as polish up a bitcoin article and maintain a list of resources.
