I think this is the ATH.  And this is awesome. Many business are leaning towards blockchain technology.

The thing is that there are a lot of speculation involved in this. Sure many countries are starting to accept bitcoin as  alegal form of payment, sure some more merchants have started to accept btc. But this does not justify such a dramatic change in price.

It's definitely the all time high though, you are right about that.

I think that we'll see a correction soon. Hopefully everyone investing is able to cash out before that comes

Now more attention will be found towards bitcoin even from the outer world who doesn't have any knowledge about it and the one who feel bad is the people who sold on panic during the past price drop towards $2000.

Yes, Bitcoin to almost reach 3000 USD is indeed the all time high. It is very beneficial to old investors and an inspiration for the new ones. However, I believe that we've seen just the beginning, bitcoin will surely achieve more greater heights. Yes, Bitcoin to almost reach 3000 USD is indeed the all time high. It is very beneficial to old investors and an inspiration for the new ones. However, I believe that we've seen just the beginning, bitcoin will surely achieve more greater heights. And as bitcoin gain so much achievements, more and more people will surely engage in bitcoin and more and more business will surely lean toward bitcoin and blockchain technology.

Old investors is celebrating now, I think, unless they've converted their bitcoin to fiats at $2500. Many investors also converted their bitcoins the time it hit the $2500 last month, for them, the price may pump or dump, but I don't think that they will regret that action, it is a big profit for them, and the price reaching that high, is a dream for them, but that time, it is a reality.

People who did panic selling when the price reached $2000 recently are the one who don't understand the art of investment. Investment and trading both needs patience and logical reasoning. Bitcoin is attracting more and more people now. People are now showing faith in it after many countries trusting bitcoin. Earlier people used to think that bitcoin is a currency for illegal activities. But now that mentality is changing. Good days are ahead.

Almost unbelievable. Feels bad I only got into this final quarter of last year and wasn't able to buy much coz even then it is quite expensive to buy in my currency. And now it's close to $3000!

I'd like to be happy though I don't have much in my wallet. I'm not so much worried about any plunges since I intend to hold anyway. I'm more concerned that it might become obsolete.

Yes and I see further growth until $5k within a year if we can find a viable and concrete solution for the issue of slow confirmation time and higher transaction fees. Many businesses are willing to give a try to the bitcoin but since it is not yet that much stable in terms of price as well as transaction costs, the firms are shifting to the wait and watch mode. $3K is not far ahead from this point, however we might face some fluctuations in the price until we reach that milestone.

Yeah this is the All time high. Don't think that people expected bitcoin to ever break that all time high after that recent drop in price which essentially pushed bitcoin back to $2000 from $2700. Many including me thought that this was it for this year, we're going to go full dumpster mode and price isn't gonig to go back up.

I dumped the majority of my coins then and sort of regret ever doing that.

However the dump will come eventually. It cannot sustain like this. Unless the transaction fee and confirmation times issue can be resolved through scaling, it won't happen.

this is the long term rise that will always happen, there is no stopping that.

there will be a lot of drops, and a lot of downtime when people lose hope and think that is it, the end of bitcoin price rise, in the future but in long term bitcoin price will continue rising.

so far bitcoin is the most secure, the most recognized, the most fair, the most immutable, and the most decentralized cryptocurrency that you can find out there.
and despite many thinking any random altcoin can be a valid competition, you will not see anything remotely close to a competition for bitcoin in the foreseeable future.

I really hope they dont tumble like the last time after reaching an all time high, they recovered very quickly which was shocking in some ways. I have some bitcoins saved up and a drop will be disastrous for me.

IT is hard to believe that bitcoin will hit $20000 in 2020 but I do hope that it will come true and all of us will be millionaires. In fact, there are still many problems in bitcoin which are stopping  from becoming a greater currency. In the future, I am looking forward to seeing the hard fork happen and bitcoin will become greater once again

What interesting here is, the price is not crazy going just up rapidly. It was slowly and moderate yet with slight dump but overall the trend is increasing. It's not the same as $100 or more within just few hours or something like that. Looks like this a great start for another burst. But hopefully let the moderate price increase passed the $3,000 level before going on a burst again. $3,000 value as a starting line before going on a fast phase price increase will surely ended up to around $4,000 and then correction will happened afterwards disregarding the August event.

Just my wild speculation and feel free to argue.

No offense, but what planet are you guys living on? 24h high on worldcoinindex is $2917 so it's only hours or days away from $3k. Of course it will take time to stabilize the price but by the end of the year we are looking at $4k-5k with that kind of growth.
