I am looking to buy 24,000 XRP for 1.37 BTC which is all the bitcoins I currently have available right now. I can buy smaller amounts I guess but I want to trade my 1.37 BTC in the end for XRP.

The exchange rate will be 1 BTC = 17,518 XRP

For any new users who got 20,000 in the XRP giveaway if you don't want your coins I will buy them from you for 1.14 btc for 19,800 XRP since you can't send all of 20,000 XRP out of an ripple account.

PM me if you have any XRP you looking to sell
NOTE: I only have 1.37 BTC so I can't buy more then 24,000 XRP.

He didn't have a scammer tag before so it was hard to know once I got scammed I reported it right away and he got a scammer tag but before that there was no way to know if he was a scammer.

We did a escrow but it looks like escrows don't work he ran off with the coins.

Edit fix:  John K. was not the escrow. The scammer sent fake forwarded escrow messages.

Who did you use for escrow?

Holy shit, I WAS NOT THE ESCROW damnit. OP got a PM from foofight stating that I was escrowing the deal, and sent the coins to the address foofight 'forwarded' to him blindly. I escrow around 2k BTC PER WEEK and it does not make sense that I would run for this amount.  Angry

This signature is fake, right?

Quote from: Bitcoin Forum
zero3112 has reported the below personal message, sent by foofight, for the following reason:
foofight is a scammer

Below are the original contents of the personal message which was reported:
Message forwarded.

Attached. Please note that I might be going out soon for lunch (in approx. 10 mins), so please proceed with sending 24,000 ripples if you see the 1.37BTC having 3 confs in the address below. Be rest assured that I will be releasing the funds when I get back.

Thanks,
John

The escrow address for Foofight(the seller) and zero3112(the buyer) transaction would be:

1FMkokNtu7oQyjwaYcM5wDQG9VUN4hUBMb

Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.

If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a ‘statement of condition’.

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org.
The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of.  On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos.
The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.

Please understand that I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction.
If possible, please tip me at 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz .

Thank you.

I think OP needs to change his name to zeroIQ.

.... You don't understand how escrows work, don't you? You need to verify that it's the escrow you're sending the funds to. Hell, I GPG sign every escrow contract I send out, be it 1 BTC or 1000BTC - if the signature is wrong IT ISN'T ME! In this case, you didn't even verify if it was me who sent you the escrow contract directly via PM.  Angry

Hey man, John K said he'd do escrow for our deal. He told me to send the funds to his escrow address 1GG3CLYd36tmU2X73rmHYzsTtaJcNwMcCC. Once I see the first confirmation to that address, I'll send you your coins.

Can you do escrows without having to do GPG signatures? That is a pain in the ass and I'd prefer not to use them.

GPG signatures are for the security of the users involved - I know most people are not verifying that the signatures are valid, but it makes sense when you're dealing with 1k+ BTC. Also, I send the contract out via my account directly... that would be the baseline to confirm that I sent this contract out.  Undecided
