Hey,

After today I'm the lucky owner of a baikal cube miner 300 mh/S, after having everything from pool worker to pool configured its working.
But if the miner now works for 1 hour and I want to log in again by going to the ip address but then I get the message: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.

Now that I turn off and on the baikal mine, I can log in again but this time on another IP.

Can anyone tell me why i get this message?

1. Did you buy your baikal cube directly from baikal? If so when?
If not how did you buy it? eBay or the likes?

2. Have you found the correct IP for the miner? So that you can now log into it? Or does it keep changing each time you log in??

3. What happens if you don't log in for a few hours? Does it still change IP or is it the act of you logging in that is changing its IP?

I can only imagine that for some reason the baikal is being assigned a dynamic IP address....?

Have you liaised with baikal directly about this querie?

@couture

- i buyed it trough social media, from some one from malaysia.

- I Installed it 3 hours ago and in the beginning i could login with 192.168.0.248, and after i want to change the pool i couldn't login anymore, chrome gives men this error:ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.
after i turned off the baikal miner and back on i searched for ip adresses in my network and it has changed to 192.168.0.247.

how could i assign a static ip adres?

hmmm...

so now if you go to 192.168.0.247 does it change again to another IP?

try following the steps in this tutorial bud

http://asicminermarket.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Baikal-Miner-Ip-Address-Setting-Guide.pdf

(Dont buy anything from there as im fairly sure its a scam site, but the instructions might help you with the IP)

Let us know if this fixes it or if its still an issue

Or.... you could sell me your 'defective' baikal... hehe jokes

Try the above instructions and see if that helps out Smiley

For Ip problem, if you do mind this, you can set static IP address.

41°C is a little bit hot?
Baikal told me that the miner quad cube can hold max. 70°C.

My one is at 50-52°C right now and 80%fan already. So no chance to keep it cooler for me and till 70°C is enough space left.

I live in Australia (where it can get really hot in summer) and I have a Baikal Mini and a Baikal Cube. They share a room with 10 GPUs running on two GPU mining rigs.

I have seen both miners at 48-52 degrees before and they were fine, no problems.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah
