Hello,

(This is also posted in marketplace, but I need help ASAP so I thought I would try here)

Today I tried to make a purchase on Bitcoinstore.com for a Samsung 840 SSD. I got through the checkout process and got to the payment step. BitPay give me an invoice for 0.9416 BTC to a one time use address. I used Bitcoin-QT to make the payment. The timer kept ticking down as I reached two confirms but still no Paid status. I tried the place order button but "this order is not yet paid" and would not let me continue. I am now out 0.9421 (after transaction fees) BTC and cannot get ahold of anyone at BitPay or Bitcoin Store.

What can I do?

Thanks in advance
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Contact Bitcoinstore.com and tell them invoice number and bitcoin transaction. They will help you for sure.

Uh oh, Go into Bitcoin-Qt and right-click, give us the transaction details

Should look something like this:
Status: 28674 confirmations
Date: 11/1/2012 10:15
From: unknown
To: 1GMqpFaxRusNvsmegaDHUxnBc5MvAYexx5 (own address, label: Old)
Credit: 6.00 BTC
Net amount: +6.00 BTC
Transaction ID: 05b299c715a3158c1122508a779fbe27b2cc1b95b3f7b1f57a6a07d9875be122

That way we can take the Transaction ID and may be able to use it as Proof of Purchase

How long since you wrote to Bitcoinstore? It is a weekend after all, I wouldn't expect them to reply within seconds.

Crazy, this happened to me yesterday with AllThingsLuxury. He said he is in contact with BitPay, but also told me to contact them to maybe speed up the recovery of the payment I sent. Haven't heard back from them yet either.  Huh

I did a little searching and found a forum post of the silk road about someone losing 200BTC today from BitPay
