How do you know if a crypto uses pow or pos or a method to build it? Please tell me how to recognize new or old technology of crypto.

Thank you

some of them have a pow phase and then go to pos, i don't think coinmarketcap can tell you that, or other have a pow activated after some times and there is initially a distribution in some way via airdrop for example, the only way is to look at the ANN

Just visit the Ann thread on every coin then you will know it. You can ask directly to the developer but most of the time you can see it already in the OP.

Just try to learn the concept of coin through the whitepaper, some coins have builded from Pos and Pow at the same time. But will be easy for you to read the whitepaper and you will get what's the mothod has used by the project. coinmarketcap doesn't have high accuracy

ANN thread is the thread where the altcoin was announced when the altcoin was first released and further announcements are posted there, ANN thread for short. If you want to know if a coin is pow or pos, or both, it is mentioned there. You can also know it on coinmarketcap too or in exchanges sometimes it is mentioned there when you look at the wallets section.
