I am sad to hear your story of losing your coin. I am not so sure but I got a friend who have similar story two months ago he lost some of his BTC due to a wrong address which replaced the address he copied...he thought it must be a virus or a similar bug that is affecting his computer. Please have your computer checked for a malicious program so you can not be victimized again.

I have heard this problem before.
There are some malwares which change your BTC address on the clipboard memory to another address that belongs to hackers. Some malwares also search your browser page and change every BTC address they find to another address.
You should also check the address after you paste it.

What you said is 100% true, what OP problem have told is purely due to this virus only and hacker knowed that you are owning ANT token that is why i think your transfer got changed to other address. if you see that the address which got this coins after some time it will get transferred to other wallet and it will get sold.

So it is very sad to tell that you are victim of hacking and first work is to clear your computer from this virus and then do anything regarding to any concurrency if not you will lose them also. so be clear before any other problem comes.

Maybe you can chat in Bittrex's trollbox about this? It seems that the user who own the address is also trading there. I saw on Etherscan that his OUTGOING transactions were sent to Bittrex, see this as reference: https://etherscan.io/address/0x813e73b19889d30bb221742cafa6ec7c92175d59#tokentxns

I don't know if Bittrex Admins can help you locate the owner, but try to contact them as well. I hope the owner of the address will send it back to you if ever you talk. Good luck and be careful next time so that you won't be a victim again.

That's a lot and I'm in deep sad with that amount of tokens it's totally a big loss for any person.

And as jhenfelipe said I guess there is still a hope for you, once you have tried to contact bittrex admin maybe they can do something about it.

But in every person's part here, we can't something about it, that's one of the feature of crypto currency, transactions aren't reversible.

Possible this is the reason why you did got some wrong address, @op have you downloaded something before?

When you say the bitcoin address you copied and pasted changed, what do you mean exactly? Did you verify it is your address before hitting send?

As some others have mentioned, it is possible you have a virus on your computer that changes your copy and paste function. Have you downlpaded something recently, and where from? Do you think you have been hacked?

Always make sure your send or receive address is correct befote hitting send, even if you have it saved and it autofills in. Sounds like you just lost your coins. Sorry to hear.

That was very unfortunate. And for a solution, I cannot recommend anything. That 3 BTC of your is as good as gone now. Though we can track the address that received the bitcoin, how can we even recover it?

I think you were a victim what they call a Copy-Paste virus. There was a thread here about that case and it would seem that you are unaware. In order to avoid anymore tragedy, I suggest you should check your computer and have it cleaned. Also be sure to double and triple check the address before having a transaction.

This was the plan from the start wasn't it? to post about an address change which is not related to Bitcoin whatsoever and then blaming it on an exchange saying if you trade there you might get hacked, lol such a pathetic way of killing the competition.
I'm sure if you goons stop downloading and installing wallets and Bitcoin double script shit all the time then this wouldn't have happened.

You might want to try to search the Internet for the person that has that specific Bitcoin Address. If you can’t find anyone that has that Bitcoin Address then that money is long gone, I am sure that someone who found 3+ BC in their wallet without doing anything for it won’t give it back without anything in return.

True. I also heard that not just BTC but other altcoins are target of hackers. The cryptocurrencies are improving and the price of coins are getting expensive so that why some hackers desperately go for it. Its also good to have a really good foundation in computer hardware and software to secure your accounts and always be careful in copy and paste because there are mistakes that you are inputting the private key not the address.

As the exchange rates increase, there will be more robbery attempts by the hackers. I believe that the same had happened in 2013 December, when the prices zoomed up from $100 per coin to $1,200+ per coin. So we should be extremely careful about our coins, and if anyone hasn't enabled the 2 factor authentication, then it is time to enable it.

Your computer maybe exposed to a hacker attack (steal) whatever you paste will change automatically
Usually this virus comes from software installation or from pop up ads

It looks your fault, but i'm sorry for your lost. the bittrex can't detect the owner of that address. The possible thing if the address users are trying to increase the amount through verfying the account.
You can't do anythin rather than try to make a contact with the bittrex admnin on the slack.

Welp, you cannot do anything about it, that's why you always double check the addresses you're withdrawing to in the confirmation letter. It will be a hard learnt lesson for you I guess, though you should also check your computer from viruses and stuff so that you can be sure your information is safe and that you won't get any more harm done to you if that was because of the virus. Also what the developers should do about it is to change the addresses to readable ones so people can actually see better whom they are sending money to, thus they could avoid such mistakes. Those addresses (especially ethereum ones) look all the same.
It looks your fault, but i'm sorry for your lost. the bittrex can't detect the owner of that address. The possible thing if the address users are trying to increase the amount through verfying the account.

Getting in touch with bittrex would be nothing more than just a waste of everyones time, in the letter there's clearly written a withdrawal addresses that you should always check so that the information you filled in is correct. They would just tell that they are sorry for the mistake the op done and say to double check the address next time.

It looks like the owner of the eth address had joined EDGELESS bounty program before.
