Look into software subforum: ../../Mining software (miners).

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors.
Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

not trying to be a dick but this is not going to happen...if there was something I think a lot more people would be going this route rather than the ASIC USB key for 1.99BTC

For 600 Mh/s for 100 U$D you will have to wait fpga miner with kinkex or virtex 7.
Spartan 6 is in it`s limits.

If anyone want to start sell used fpga miners, I will buy cheap to recover fpga unit.

Tiger,

I'm sure that once difficulty has increased enough for a FPGA-based mining device to cost more in electricity than it produces in Bitcoins, people will put these devices on eBay and you can snap them up cheaply.

I have a couple Cairnsmore1s with corrosion damage on the boards, but I'm pretty sure the FPGAs are good.  Any interest in recovering them?

Did you ever try replacing the fuse blocks on those boards?

Yup, I did that.  On the one board the heartbeat LED just glows weakly but does not blink.  When I connected the other board it tripped the power supply's short detection, and when the power supply came back on in a few seconds something went :BANG: on the board, and I see C55 now has a hole in its side that didn't used to be there.  I didn't plug that one in again.
