In the light of increased usd/btc, please consider adjusting the donor/vip badge incentive level - may be that will attract more donation (including me).

I agree to an extent, however I think people who donated or purchased VIP early should get some additional bonus or a new title like Veteran.

This has been asked before, I believe the answer is no.  Especially a the forum doesn't need more money.

It would be unfair to those who donated to have their title changed or price lowered.

It should not be cuz the forum doesn't need money but because Theymos said he would never lower it when he collected the money in the first place.

For him to lower it now he would either have to refund everyone who paid donated already or give himself the scammers tag.

Theymos however said something like if the forum at a later date needs more funds he will make new titles that cost less than the current levels.

Mostly true - theymos might create new tags if BTC/USD goes parabolic, but the existing tags' required funds will not be changed.

I think that there should be new levels created for the forum at 1 and 5 btc, plus a very high level at say 250 for the people who really support this forum.

Really supporting this forum and ability to pay does not correlate. I really support this forum, but I cannot even dream to have enough btc to donate 250 to this forum.

Problem is, when people donated 10 or 100 btc, at that time the value of btc was 10X or 20X less than current value. I would happily donate 50 ltc to the forum, but cannot afford to donate 50 btc. If/when LTC goes to 100usd, some newbie would probably say the same thing for LTC.

I am tempted to donate for the shiny tag.  But the forum is already ridiculously wealthy, and if I'm going to spend $1k I'd want it to be towards a cause that needs it.  Maybe we could recognize donations to something else.  But choosing who/what is hard, as well as what differentiation there will be between forum donators and other donators.
