'Developers' are Winning (compared to the old days) and (most) "investors" are still losing, why?

Brief Summary: There have been HUGE changes in the alt coin/"token" market (at least one of which I very accurately predicted), but are things really any better for the average investor?

Note: As of this date, there is a huge alt coin "Bubble Rally" (so some "investors" are doing fine), let's (please) have an interesting conversation about the past, present, and future of alt coins...
...or better yet... The "Digital value formerly known as alt coins" and suddenly preparing to take over and rule the World!   Cheesy

First off, please allow me to establish a few facts (Reasonably accurate details / Best I can remember / Feel Free to prove me wrong)
Fact #1: ~4 or 5+ years ago, when a "real developer" with an original or creative idea did the [ANN] thread, if they asked for anything over ~1 or 2%, do you remember what would happen?
As a fact, people would "shoot them down" screaming "Pre-mine!", "Scam!!", etc, etc, etc.

Fact #2a: I (at least 3 or more times) posted a clear response that developers of worthwhile projects need to be compensated, or else all you will get is crap/garbage/shitcoins. At this time, there is no need to prove it, but those posts are still there if you do not believe me.

Fact #2b: I have established being correct, about the flood of crapcoins which did indeed continue for several years.

Fact #3a: Times have changed and now "developers" are winning the ICO/Token/"Make a slick thread and win $34 Million Game."
Question #3b) How have things changed for people wanting to invest in the next BIG Thing?
Are the current conditions much better for crowd-sourcing individuals who take a stake in new projects?
Answer #3c) There are enough 'winners' to keep the mania going (for now), but is this really the best we can do?

Fact #4 (Important!) Some of the "Hottest new ICO's" have really impressive presentations.
{{ Insert a wall of smiling faces, with real names representing "Our Team"}}

Massively important fact #4: When you see the reputable, often verifiable team on the "wall of smiling faces" (CEO, UI Designers, IT Wizards, Consultants, etc), you are looking at a lot of people who expect to get paid BEFORE you ever see a substantial profit.

A word from "our sponsor":
I am developing some exciting projects and would like to point out there is room for an original, worthwhile, "non-corporate" effort where (1) You are not supporting a huge Dev team, and (2) These days, It is legit for a creator, innovator, idea person to get compensated properly for a successful project!

For discussion:
* (Older members) Are my key points (about the past) reasonably accurate, or do you suggest edits?
* (For anyone) There is much room for improvement if "Coinland" is ever going to go mainstream:
Do you agree things could be much better for investors?
Any ideas/ suggestions/ comments?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

What's amazing is that there are 10+ ANN alt-coins every day and at least 90% of the devs make huge profits from them no matter how spid their copy/past  coin is there are just more and more idiot giving them at least 10BTC for whatever they put out. Now for the projects where they try to do something somewhat new like Wagerr for example they make a killing in BTC fefore the coins is even out.

I don't know how much this can go on but it's fascinating to watch!

Thanks, for the enthusiasm, and I agree the energy is amazing.
IMO, the current mania will be replaced when something clearly better comes along.
