These oxymorons are particularly nagging at me now.

They are contradictions in terms that seem to hinder many discussions.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

one of my lads came up with 'solar-powered torch', but i don't think such a wonder will help us clarify our thinking enough to keep usg puppets out of bitcoin

Bitcoin community, it seems to be constantly confused with bitcointalk community.

While the former represents the entire bitcoin space, with notable contributions from individuals to the core development process.

The latter is restricted to the forum and parameters used to judge users here.
