LOL, There is no restriction on dreaming as you already mentioned in your post that Doge Dev left the project long before how it is possible for a project to grow with dev and any development it's better to leave doge and try to invest in some good coin which really has good future. Because at this time it looks impossible for doge to cross 1$ each it is only possible if bitcoin grow huge like 1 Million Dollars for a Bitcoin then I can say doge can go to 1$ otherwise not possible.

There are some possible causes:

1. Massive adoption, almost all exchanges includes doge also several wallets includes it.
2. Too cheap feeds.   The best choice to move small amounts of money compared to btc or eth.
3. Very fast transactions and verification.
