There are a total of 400'000 shares, so each is share correspond to 1/400'000th of ASICMINER's total hashrate so share owners directly benefit from ASICMINER's continuous growth.

The current total hashrate is ~18TH -> 45 MH/s per share.

The yet announced expansion is to ~262TH -> 655 MH/s per share.
There is no exact date, but I think the general belief is around June time frame. Please check the ASICMINER thread for more details.

They are paid directly to the bitcoin address registered for each share. If you buy any share from me in this auction, I'll notify friedcat (the man in charge of ASICMINER) and he'll assign the appropriate number of shares to your bitcoin address.

Thanks, I've already been in contact with John regarding using his escrow service. But I'll consider you as a back up solution. Do you have any references as a provider of this service?

Possibly important clarification to the bidding rules:
The auction end time is set to "May 7th, 2013 - 10:00 [GMT]" and with the provided countdown timer.
It's a bit problematic that correct time, forum time and countdown time may be a couple of seconds apart.
In case of last second/borderline bids, the forum time, i.e. the timestamp in the bidding message will determine the validity of the bid.

It doesn't look like it's going to be such a rush, but you never know  Cool

Just reply with a line that shows QUANTITY @ PRICE, where price is the BTC you are willing to pay per share. Keep in mind your bid is binding and you'll need to be able to pay in BTC within 48 hours for most auctions (which if you don't have the BTC already in a wallet can be more challenging than one might expect).
