Hello everybody, I want to tell you what happened to me when I tried to top up my Skrill balance by using bitcoin. A few days ago I saw skrill is offering bitcoin as a possible deposit option now, so I gave it a try: I sent 50€ to my account and everything seemed to be fine. The amount became available after 6 confirmations of the btc transaction and it was added to my "available balance", too. After this I went to a local ATM and tried to cashout 40€ using my skrill prepaid mastercard, without success.. I went to an ATM of another bank but still no cashout possible.. "Using this service isn't possible with your card." I signed in to my Skrill account using my smartphone and checked if everything was okay. I couldn't find any issue so I contacted the Skrill support via email and got the following answer: "Bitcoin deposits can be used immediately for transfers to Skrill merchants or transfers to other members. Bitcoin deposits cannot be used for purchases or withdrawals using your Skrill Card. Bitcoin deposits are not refundable. You already got this information when you did the transaction." http://puu.sh/wehN4/29102f4bfd.pngIf I can't use it with my Skrill Mastercard, why is the deposited amount mixed with the other balance? How can I say that I want to use the amount topped up by bitcoin in a default skrill payment instead of the amount I topped up another way? There's no way to see only the amount which is available for the mastercard?! I really feel cheated by Skrill and I want to warn other users this way. Best regards, juffer

It's the same thing with Neteller. I believe sending the funds to somebody else then asking him to send you the funds back should make your bitcoins usable at ATMs or online. The fees might make you lose a decent percentage of your money though, Its better to switch to a bitcoin debit card provider like UQUID instead.

How much fee does Skrill take for bitcoin deposit? (I mean btc/usd exchange). Also for example if you deposit and send money to someone's skrill account, is he able to withdraw without problems? If yes than I can't understand meaning of this situation, this only means that thry want to earn more profit from more fees. Also was that information in agreement? It's shit, they don't show important parts bold. Thanks for thread, very good information.

First of all why convert is using this method as they charge 1% fees which is simply not fine as normally if you go to buy btc with skrill the fees is way more than -1%. Second idk if youbare aware skrill also has features like paypal and you can buy items online where skrill is accepted like on g2a etc so allowing to use it on card can be justified

Both neteller and skrill have this same rule so their cards can't be used as bitcoin debit card. Why don't you just go with regular bitcoin debit card providers like cryptopay to cashout your bitcoin? I have used their cards and successfully cashed out from my local ATM. Skrill have only allowed bitcoin deposits to capture growing demand of bitcoin in gambling industry lol

Netteler and Skrill have the same owner. Skrill was bought last year. About the bitcoin transaction, this should be something new. And seems still not applied to all counties. I've manage to top-up BTC and withdraws at ATM in past 48 hours without any problem. Plus I have more than 20 similar transactions at past 3 months. Could you please escalate your issue to Level 2 Supervisor? To get more 'accurate' response? Level 1 support guys usually are not so competent on matters like bitcoin. I don't want to do it, because currently I don't have problem with transactions. But this very concerning.

I know same procedure from Okpay. They offer you prepaid mastercard which you can withdraw all balance to your card. But situation is different when customer use cryptocurrencies as deposit method and this funds is treated like non-withdrawable bonus funds You can use currency exchange services to convert skrill funds to whatever you want.Dont forget to check exchange section of forum.

Skrill/Neteller integration with Bitcoin is poorly done. You can't use it with Skrill card for everything - sure they mentioned it in their ToS. But it is still is counter intuitive since you can use the money to buy from merchants or transfers to other members directly. This is one of the reasons I don't like to exchange my BTC via secondary payment processors - they usually have some restrictions hidden.

Skrill and Neteller are both parts in the paysafe group and they are not that trusted. in my country they were the only solution for the payment online until they desactivate their card services since january. i still use them with the local community. they are marked by their higher fees for send or deposit money.Deposit from bitcoin wallet, it's a very sensitive case for the two banks that the service is made by bitpay with also high cost fee and very limited deposit (max 0,1743/week) without forget that sending funds between payesafe users is 2% actually.
No way to send my bitcoins there.

Sometimes I feel that they are jealous of the success which BTC got in the recent years, Most of the people were using Neteller, Skrill or Paypal before BTC. Now almost everyone tries to use BTC rather than them so they all just try to block BTC transactions as far as possible. They charge high fees to customers and blocks without reason many of the times. BTC is so much better than all of them combined.

Skrill asks users to pay bitcoin through bitpay. You have not mentioned how you loaded the bitcoin. If its not available try getting it back by exchanging it online or here in this forum. Skrill is a hard to manage fiat currency and is also reversible at times.

I tried this way as an alternative because my regular debitcard has been broken.

Best regards, juffer Using a fiat based card service to withdraw your bitcoin is not a great idea. Not only you are risking your money, they generally have higher fees than bitcoin only cards.
