ok so some say that it doesnt matter that the thing aired to million and millions of people over in china, and everyone who is gunna buy bitcoins has allready...

well i know this is a small sample size but i live in a huge city and was at a medium-large party (about 60-80 people) outside where most were i got the currage...half drunk.....and got everyones attention. i said " ok please raise your hand if you have ever herd of bitcoin"...........I hear from the crowd.........."big loin?".... "bite coin?"...."it corn"??    " no everyone i said has anyone here herd of BITCOIN!?!? three people raised there hand. 1)my friend who has some,2) my girl.... cuz i wont shut up about them....and 3)one other person..... one! he know almost nothing about them and thought they were some kind of scam. but later i had about fifteen people surrounding me asking me about BTC and i told them what i new and told them to look it up.  THEY ALL WANTED TO INVEST, they loved the idea and thought that they could risk a few hundred for some big gains.

this is a small version of what is going to happen in china. a percentage .... maybe  even just one%...will buy bitcoins....maybe just one..... and that math is 28-46m viewers one % of that is 28,000 they buy just one coin each. (this is so fucking low ball!!) and that is 28,000,000 yep 28million worth. so now i ask what are the implications of 28 mill? well lets see... to go from the current state of 107- per bit we would need about 100k usd to go to 120. imagine what 28 mill ( again verry low ball) would do to it. in two weeks im calling above 200. call me crazy but i just purchased a lot lot more.

Are you posting in the newbie section just so that you can use that line?

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

The 1 billion market is ridiculous compared with other fiat or even commodities (yes, I know that btc is not a commodity...).

Time will tell, but I guess we are in the very infancy of the cryptocoins.

Right now, most of the people here consider investing in cryptocoins as a geek casino game. And probably you can win or loose with the same volatility.

Until a real set of services develop based only in cryptocoins and not in fiat, this will be a commodities market.

It's about global warming. Oil is stored co2 that gets released yada yada yada. I think you should know about this by now, if not google it.

Drilling for oil really isn't all that much, directly. Oil spills are, moreso.

I think in general "fossil fuels" being used is blamed for the warming, which then melts the ice. The ice causes:

1. dens to collapse on hibernating bears
2. less ice for bears to hunt from = more bear conflict in that area
3. less ice for bears to hunt from = less food at the ice
4. bears using ice that then melts in the time it takes them to swim out and back exhausts the bears that might have nowhere to rest.
5. younger bears dying off more due to their lack of self sustaining.

That about covers it.

ah yea well some warming is bound to be a bad thing for polar bears. The good news is that a healthy amount of warming is probably a good thing for most animals, ourselves including. The earth has been cooler than is optimal for quite a while now in my opinion =).

I think that it could happen however the hard part is getting the word out to all of those people. Great job at the party and way to spread the weard about BTC even if you were drunk. You know now that I think about it you could have profitied. Write your own ebook explaining all the fundamentals of BTC and then tell them its the number one BTC guide in existance and sell a copy to each of them for like $10:)... you know what new idea, I'm going to go write a beginners ebook for BTC.

I live in California and I think the temperature of the Earth has been quite optimum, even to high sometimes for us:). Maybe we should create regional global warming, warm some areas and cool others:)

Asking at a party is the wrong place to expect people to know about crypto's. The industry is 90% geeks and investors.

anytime that we release cretin gases in the air like carbon dioxide it has a positive feedback system. a positive feed back system would be like this the sun heats and melts the snow at a slow pase but with polution the snow is not so white so black (even off white) absorbs more heat instead of reflecting back into the atmosphere, then since the surrounding few rocks that are poking out are darker in color absorb more heat more snow melts this creates more patches of snow free areas this in turn makes the snow melt even faster. etc etc etc. or the other way like say it gets cold and its fall and we get out first snow. the next day we have clear skys but its freeeeezing...why? because all the suns rays are being reflected back to space making it colder still so then the next rain/snow storm comes in and its so cold still that you ge tmore snow ans so on and so forth. also the heat from all the engins and machines and coal being burned heats up the earth. also when the earth heats up a little then the perm a frost melts .....under the perm a frost you have methane 50 to 100 times more powerful global warming agent than carbon... also interestingly the half life of methane is carbon. so after 50 years of methane killing the ozone and heating up the earth it turns into carbon the second worst contributer to heating up the earth this lastes for another 150 to 200 years. also we dont see the polutin that we put out for 50 years .... meaning that what we see today is from what polution we put in to the air 50 years ago...in the 1963.  In fact the earth in the normal heating and cooling cycles should be going back to an ice age where the ice would be adventuring every winter. instead we see the poller ice caps melt at unprecedented rates. also we will see (with warmer sees) more mass destruction from weather and hurricanes.

so to answer  your question polar bears are suted and addapted for pur snow and ice coverd seas. if these melt then we will not have polar bears as a species anymore. and we will see them as stuffed atractions like the saber toothed cat and the woolymamoth.

reference from: in getting my BS in Psychology i got a minor in earth science. i have also worked on an oil rig... well a fracking rig and a deep deep BIG rig that goes 4 miles into the earth. huge blow outs of pure gas goes strait into the atmosphere. we are slowly killing the beautiful place we call home.....all for a buck. so sad. thats why i quit .... 36 per hour but my morals are worth more than that. ill work at a zoo or a forest ranger for 8 hr as long as im not contributing to killing our planet home

so
