I was expecting this interview to have more content on Vitalik's plans and solutions to scale Ethereum. It was disappointing to see that nothing concrete was given in the interview. All he said that the results that we’ve been moving towards are much better than we thought that we would get.

What results? Is the development team of Ethereum stalling?

As the price of Ether started to surge beyond $250, Ethlance freelancers were required to pay around $8 to set up their profiles. Issues of Ethereum-based decentralized applications (DApps) and the rising fees on Ethereum led the community and supporters of Ethereum to express their concerns over the platform’s scalability.

Discussions on Etheruem’s scaling issues intensified as Buterin’s interview with Epicenter, conducted in December of 2014, resurfaced, during which he characterized Bitcoin’s $0.05 fee as “absurd.” Currently, Ethereum’s average fee is over $1 and its median fee is around $0.05, close to the level Buterin described as absurd.

I want to hear the interview where he gets lucky thinking of an alternative use scheme / gimmick for a block-chain then strikes it rich with his ICO scam.. then how he dumped for millions.

I think that is what the entire globe wants to hear about.
You know all the topics and questions related to that posted here all along that ole butters avoids because apparently he is "above" speaking to us peasants here ..even though he knows damn well launching his ICO scam here is what made him who he is in the first place.

That little fucking scammer is a cancer to crypto .

FUD first & ask questions later™

Scaling is definitely the thing that can make or break this thing in my opinion as after the speculation hype you have to provide value to stay and even for a thing like Etherium that is built on execution not storage it could be hard if you look at usage of the network right now.

Where OmiseGo Founder Sees Massive Ethereum Scaling and Adoption by 2020

Jun Hasegawa, the founder and CEO at OmiseGo, a billion dollar blockchain network launched on top of the Ethereum protocol, has outlined the future of Ethereum and the roadmap of its growth over the next two years.

Massive Scaling and Adoption by 2020
2017 was a year of speculation for both Ethereum and projects launched on top of the public blockchain protocol. Initial coin offerings (ICOs) and token sales garnered billions of dollars per quarter, exceeding the amount of money companies in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space raised from accredited investors and venture capital firms.

The high level of speculation in the cryptocurrency industry was apparent in the rapid surge in the price of bitcoin, ether, and every other major digital asset, which increased by astronomical numbers since early 2017. Ether for instance, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain protocol, increased from $10 to $1,500, by 150-fold, within a 12-month period.

Subsequent to the major rally of crypto assets in late 2017, the third-largest correction in the cryptocurrency market history hit, leading bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash, ripple, and other cryptocurrencies to lose 70 to 90 percent of their value.

Hasegawa noted that the correction, which is still ongoing, has allowed the market and developers within it to build products and scaling solutions to support the next rally.

I think Ethereum is enough innovative for 2018. To solve current problems with available today technics Ethereum must become less secured and much more centralized which do not match the expectations of community. So Buterin is on the right way.
