Have you people forgotten that that old bastard makes pretty much all of his money by using the state against us?

What are you talking about and who is "us"?

well, it is true that Buffett understands that the US gov't will step in to bailout any crisis.  i remember quite clearly how he was allowed into special crisis meetings in late 2008 where strategies were being hatched to try and restore confidence.  they used Buffett to try and influence public opinion that everything was ok and i'm sure he had inside info as to what extraordinary printing measures they were going to employ.

his purchase of many stock shares during that period were effectively guaranteed to not lose by the gov't/us.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

He invests in industry that does not exist in a free market.

Get lost.  Buffet has no lesson to receive from you about business and free market.

« Even as a child, Buffett displayed an interest in making and saving money. He went door to door selling chewing gum, Coca-Cola, or weekly magazines. For a while, he worked in his grandfather's grocery store. While still in high school he was successful in making money by delivering newspapers, selling golfballs and stamps, and detailing cars, among other means. Filing his first income tax return in 1944, Buffett took a $35 deduction for the use of his bicycle and watch on his paper route.[17] In 1945, in his sophomore year of high school, Buffett and a friend spent $25 to purchase a used pinball machine, which they placed in the local barber shop. Within months, they owned several machines in different barber shops. »

All your blind defense has done here is demonstrate that Buffett knew the concepts well that he later betrayed.

Hardly a surprise...

At his big Q&A during the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder meeting, Warren Buffett was asked his take on Bitcoin.

Rest easy. He's not invested in it.

Agree with earlier posters that buffet is staying uninvolved for lack of knowledge of the industry. Also because its a shady, not very solvent market currently - something not many institutional investors like to play around in.

That's enough already to debunk what you said about him having made  « pretty much all of his money by using the state against us ».

I gotta learn to not make so many sweeping generalizations.
